Vintage runners are like a good pair of jeans....it may take a while to find the right one, especially when you have an image in your mind of the ideal wash, fit, size, style, etc....but once find them, you love them and hold on tight forever and ever!

I had been shopping for a vintage-style runner for what felt like years and years, and similar to my plant obsession, I wasn't sure if I should go real or faux. After weighing the options, I set my sites on the real deal with specific ideals: muted wash with a hint of warmth, soft underfoot but a flat-weave, somewhere between 3'-4' in width, and about 9'-10 in length. I also wanted to find a vendor that was legit and authentic, but not too popular and overpriced. Too much to ask???

After hours upon hours searching and researching I finally found THE ONE.

Isn't she a looker?!?!

While she was intended for the kitchen, she looked great in the master bathroom, and I'm now seeing a major love connection in the entry! So for now she'll stay put, but who knows where she'll end up!? Oh, and it's not lost on me that she's been around for decades upon decades and still looks so good....gives me immense hope that the durability or a true Turkish runner will stand the test of time in our own home!
